Every Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon, Legacy BJJ Omaha will offer a comprehensive training session, according to a news release. The session will including a combination of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, self-defense and situation-specific techniques tailored to equip these community heroes with the skills needed to navigate the unique challenges they face on the job.
"We are incredibly excited to give back to those who serve our community and our country," Matt Lippold, lead professor at Legacy BJJ Omaha, said in the release. "Our instructors, who collectively have over 100 years of law enforcement experience, understand the importance of physical readiness and mental resilience. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a powerful tool that enhances both."
The Community Heroes Program is open to all law enforcement officers, firefighters and military personnel regardless of their previous martial arts experience. No prior training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is required to attend. The program is designed to be accessible to all skill levels, from beginners to more experienced practitioners.
