E & A Consulting Group, Inc. (E&A) is proud to celebrate its 2025 Summer Internship Program, marking the tenth cohort and welcoming our largest intern class to date. This summer, 17 students from four universities and two high school graduates have joined us to explore the world of civil engineering, contribute new ideas, and gain real-world experience alongside our professionals.
What began as a structured effort to provide students with a more intentional, hands-on learning experience has grown into a cornerstone of E&A's commitment to developing future industry leaders.
"Our goal is to jumpstart these young professionals' careers by more formally exposing them to the civil engineering field and developing them to become better professionals within our industry," said E&A President Tom Nussrallah, PE.

Since 2016, the internship program has been carefully designed to provide interns with a comprehensive understanding of the civil engineering profession. From rotating through departments and learning how each group supports project success, to engaging in activities such as technical software training, leadership interviews, and professional development opportunities, interns are immersed in both the technical and professional aspects of our industry.
Throughout the summer, interns also participate in networking events, community service projects, and a final presentation that highlights what they've learned during their time at E&A. These experiences are designed to equip them with not only skills but also confidence and clarity about their future careers.
"Our internship program is an important building block of our culture and how we cultivate potential talent," said Nicolette Villwok, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Director of Human Resources at E&A. "Since 2016, 16 interns have transitioned into full-time roles at E&A, and many others have gone on to successful careers in the industry. It's a valuable way for students to gain hands-on experience while we support their growth and explore long-term fit."
As we celebrate this milestone year and support a new group of bright, driven students, we're reminded that investing in future talent isn't just good business-it's how we shape the future of our profession.
